People join Freemasonry for different reasons. For some, it is to make new friends. For others, because they are interested in the history of Freemasonry. Whilst for others, it is for the charitable side.
There are three main qualifications to become a Freemason. You must be a man aged 18 or older,be of good standing and have a belief in a Supreme Being. Freemasonry is not a replacement for any faith, although we do require you to have a faith of some kind, but we don’t favour one faith over another.
There are several stages to go through before anyone can become a Mason. All candidates are kept fully informed during each stage.
